Year 9 Photography
Here are some Year 9 Photography lesson sequences I have created. These at times, have also been cross-curricular with other subject areas.
Lesson Sequence 1: Food Magazine Front Cover
Step 1: Students were taught about the conventions on a Magazine Front Cover.
Step 2: Students research and unpack inspirational Food Magazine Front covers, focused on food that they will eventually take pictures of later with the Food Tech students.
Step 3: Students then takes the images of the Food Tech students food, and then make their own Digital Magazine Front Cover back in class on Photopea.
Lesson Sequence 2: Using Photopea to make Kit Kat Posters
Step 1: Students had to investigate 4 different shot types: Extreme Close Up, Close Up, Mid Shot and a Long Short.
Step 2: Students then were given the object of a chocolate Kit Kat, and had to take a range of photos utilising some of the shot types they investigated in the previous step.
Step 3: Students were then taught how to use Photopea to make a Kit Kat Advertising Poster with their images on the Explicit Teacher Demo Slide below.
Final Year 9 Designs
Lesson Sequence 3: Creating a Digital Advertisement on Photopea
Go through a teacher demonstration with students, and assign them this slide show to refer to.
